A Lifetime of Learning To Living Wisdom

PAUL SIMARD

Guide, Speaker, Writer, Father, Philosopher

We will all change the world, that much is certain. The only question is, will we change it by choice or by default.” - Paul Simard

I am the father of three girls, a speaker and writer, a trained mental wellness guide, and a certified death doula. These are just the most recent tools at my disposal when working with the individuals and communities I support.

Before moving into my current work, I spent 30+ years in the corporate and nonprofit worlds, with experience in industries as far-reaching as retail, finance, luxury travel and more. My nonprofit career began in higher academia, and then went on to include food security, international development and health and wellness.

In each sector, I held roles at all levels, allowing me to develop a more complete sense of the dynamics that play our within organizations of all kinds.

Today, I use a variety of tools to create brave spaces for individuals and participants to move through a range of experiences, from stress and anxiety to addiction, abuse, trauma, our relationship to death and dying, but also more straightforward challenges that are woven into our everyday experience of Life. My focus is to support individuals and organisations to engage in the “Dangerous Conversations” (meaning simply, the spaces we don’t want to look at) that they never knew they had to have, but that support their overall health, well-being and success.

Throughout my life, I have navigated my own challenges mental health, with significant impact on my psychological and physical well-being, as well on my personal and professional life.
Through those experiences, I have come to have a deeper, and quite unique, view on how we might navigate our lives in a way that is more fulfilling and nourishing, much of which goes very much against the broader social narratives.

All of this is brought to the clients I work with, freeing them from shackles they never even knew were there, while also helping them to break cycles that might be harming themselves, and those they love.

I have written multiple articles on mental wellness, death and dying, masculinity/femininity, decolonization/ repaganization, and leadership, has been a guest on multiple podcasts, and is a TEDx Speaker (The Mythical Man).
